Painting is my way of studying the earth, and fulfilling a desire of the contemplative consciousness. Creation groans with all of its beauty and chaos, and i feel an almost urgent need to study it as an extension of my own hand - of my own paintbrush. I am in a constant state of searching and discovering, and learning and teaching, all of which break through the surfaces of my work at different peaks, like a mountain chain only seen from above the clouds.
My work often displays common themes, of which are naturally imposed, that seem to carry with them a dark side as well as a light side. One must explore both extremes in order to create work that is not only an extension of one's own experiences, but also a look into the unknown.
My style of work can be vastly different at times, very much depending on my current observations, whether spiritual, social, or environmental, but the technique and process remain rather consistent.
